Gene Kornota and Anthony Klok are the cofounders and principals of Chicago based, Rebel Hospitality, a hotel development and management company whose specialty is the conception of independent boutique lifestyle and branded hotels –properties that provide their guests with a genuinely unique experience from design to tone, to amenities and the staff that work in them.

Founded in 1988 as Neighborhood Development Corporation, Rebel was the first to introduce the boutique hotel concept to Chicago’s lakeshore neighborhoods.  Since it’s inception, the company has continued to carve their niche in the hotel landscape.

In addition to management oversight of the hotels, Rebel employs a full time corporate staff including branding, marketing, social media, IT, design, financials, and operations to support the properties and outlets.
